Awesome Artwork with Scrap Wood
Most Amazing Sculptures designed with Scrap wooden material. Sometimes an ordinary wooden fence around a construction site might dictate a new idea for an artist – and that’s exactly what happened to a Brazilian Henrique Oliveira, who had this view for two years out his studio window. Inspired by the pictorial aspect of plywood, he created huge organic wooden sculptures from plywood, fencing and PVC.
The award-winning artist from Sao Paolo first shapes his massive creations with PVC, and then carefully wraps them with layers of plywood. What eventually looks like a smooth flow of color and texture is actually tough work: “It was a struggle between my wish and the resistance of a non-easily manageable material.” The size of his works is also dictated by his medium: “The materials I use are made for construction use and thus in a way I have to go large,” explains Henrique.
